Every movement can be used as a tool for self-inquiry and transformation. SomaStudies is our journey, our way of using Movement for Learning. We explore its applicability to personal relationships with everything and everyone in our surrounding - from daily tasks to parenting and professional performance and leadership.
Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lessons are uniquely designed to provide muscular release, skeletal alignment, and improved quality of movement. The softness of these movement lessons allow people of any age to participate.
The meditative environment is an invitation for body awareness and self-awareness to expand. Awaken to the beautiful dance of thought, feeling, sensation, and action.
Movement has always been a profoundly transformative journey for Catrina and she continues to be deeply moved by quietly connecting with self, life, and others through somatic studies.
What to expect from our teaching:
We focus on the educational, formative aspect of training. Habit-forming, self-discipline, and professionalism require time and practice. A fun AND structured environment produces faster and longer-lasting successful results, and we LOVE to combine them both within each class..
Movement can be a Sanctuary. A form of expression and a means to healing. An open window between people to create meaningful lifelong connections.
Your young ones will make new and supportive friends, will grow stronger as individuals, and they'll acquire a multitude of inner tools for daily life situations while improving their physical skills, building up their emotional resilience, and continuously exploring problem-solving from within.
Our classes rest on a foundation of Mutual Respect and Excellence. We practice being present, profoundly listening and communicating with each other.

Martial Arts, Feldenkrais, and Dance - from the subtle investigation to fun exploration, we have a movement class for everyone - regardless of age and/or personal abilities.
We believe that the process of an intentional movement practice can promote learning, connection, and vital living. Together with our two boys, we make our home in Auburn, California.
